V2-2010

This is the school we're serving. Bao Nhai Secondary School in the Bac Ha district of the Lao Cai Province. We're also doing some work at the primary school.


We started off with a little weeding. We joined the teachers and staff in the rain making their garden look beautiful.

Then, we started on this project. A retaining wall that will help with flooding problems. This was HARD work.
We mixed concrete, moved rocks (big ones) and helped some of the 'professionals'.
Here's a little assembly line moving rocks to the wall. Did we mention the rocks were real....and heavy!?

Can you tell we were dead tired!

Each day we have been able to go out to eat with the staff and government officials from the district and the village. Pictured here are the principal of the Bao Nhai school and the Director of Education for the Bac Ha District and some other teachers and staff further back.
